Actress Anne Heche crashes a car at the Mar Vista house, setting off a large fire

The driver who crashed into the Mar Vista house causing the fire was identified as actress Anne Heche.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 1800 South Walgrove Avenue block just before 11am

A car, the 2020 Mini Copper, ran through the house causing a huge fire. Within an hour, firefighters put out the flames and finally pulled the car out of the house.

The LAFD says Heche was rescued and taken to hospital in critical condition. The images from SkyFOX seem to show Heche trying to get out of the cart it was placed on.

A ring camera footage shows a blue Mini Copper speeding down a residential street before the accident. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were the cause of the crash.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the vehicle stopped at a 738-square-foot, two-story house built in 1952, causing design compromises and exploding with heavy fires. Witnesses claim that the neighbor ran home and safely led the owner and her pets out of the house. He tried to get Heche out of the vehicle but couldn’t because of the thick smoke.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Heche is an Emmy nominated actress. Her latest film was “13 Minutes”. She also starred in “Six Days Seven Nights” and “Volcano”. She also dated talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
