Anne Heche in critical condition after a fiery car accident

The driver was driving at high speed when she ran off the road and collided with a house, said CNN Jeff Lee, the public information officer of the Los Angeles Police Department. The impact left the car on fire and the driver suffered burns. She was taken to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department in a critical condition. It took over an hour for firefighters to “access, contain, and completely extinguish the stubborn flames in the heavily damaged structure,” the LAFD said.

No other injuries were reported.

CNN contacted Heche representatives for comment.

Heche first rose to fame in the soap opera “Another World,” in which she played the double role of twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love from 1987 to 1991 and won a Daytime Emmy for her performance. She then appeared in films such as Donnie Brasco, Six Days and Seven Nights and Wag the Dog.

Her romantic relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in the late 1990s resulted in intense media attention during this time, much to Heche’s professional frustration. In an interview with Page Six in 2021, Heche said she felt “blacklisted” after her relationship went public.

“I didn’t take a studio shot in 10 years,” said Heche, who dated DeGeneres from 1997-2000.

Heche has recently appeared on numerous television series including “The Brave”, “Quantico” and “Chicago PD”. In line with her profile on IMDB, she currently has several acting projects in post-production.
