Elon Musk says Joe Rogan puffing on weed meant random drug testing for him, SpaceX staff: “Lots of slack”

Elon Musk revealed in an interview published on Thursday that his use of marijuana in The Joe Rogan Experience has created a nightmare for his company.

Musk was smoking marijuana in a 2018 episode of Rogan’s show, saying he was not a regular user himself and asked if it was legal.

After puffing on the joint, the tech mogul gave it back.

In California, where the podcast was recorded, recreational marijuana use is legal, but SpaceX maintains federal contracts and marijuana use is illegal under federal law.
